Our Story
Nestled in the heart of North Yorkshire, Andrew Mounsey Floorcoverings Limited has spent over four decades perfecting the art of floorfitting. Our family-run business is built on a foundation of quality, craftsmanship, and unwavering customer service.
Three generations of craftsmen and local employees all trained to the highest standard, we pride ourselves on our service offering and quality delivery to all our customers.
Family business since the 80's!
Founded by Carole and Andrew Mounsey, the couple built up the business based in Settle, North Yorkshire, from scratch.
Andrew worked for 'Hargers Furnishings' after leaving school and eventually took over the building on Station Road, transforming it into both living quarters and a thriving floorcoverings shop, which has become a popular business not only in Settle but all the surrounding towns and villages.
Back in the early 2000's Andrew and Carole welcomed their son, Paul, into the business. Learning the art of fitting from his father as well as going on additional training in fitting tiles and wood flooring, Paul has built on the family's reputation for his quality of work.
This year (2025) Andrew, Carole and Paul have welcomed the next generation of Mounsey fitters into the business with the addition of Jacob.
